Why I love Göteborg #6

One of the most awesome things about gothenburg is the vast number of museums and their free-for-under-25 rule, plus the fact that the rule normally applies for special exhibitions as well.

We saw the Frida Khalo exhibition at the gothenburg museum of art last fall and this week we went to an exhibition of the works of Francis Bacon and Andy Warhol.

All for free

Why I love Göteborg #5

This weekend I spent a sunny day at the Southern Gothenburg Archipelago biking through the islands.

One of the things I love the most about the Archipelago is that cars are not allowed there, making the islands a calm and peaceful place, perfect for nice walks and biking

a definite spot for summer chilling!

why I love göteborg #4

the vicinity of nature..

it takes no time at all to get out of the city and go to beautiful lakes, green nature

and some good old fresh air

-

today I went on a little trip with some friends to check out Delsjön for the first time

and it turned out to be just lovely

I can't wait to see what the area will look like in the winter

and I'm pretty sure this will end up being one of my favorite spots next spring.

why I love göteborg #3

went to my first hockey match today..

and definitely not the last one since I had a blast!

our team won and my friends tricked me into getting the frölunda colors painted on our faces

a great night with great people!

why I love göteborg #2

it's a student city

so even though it's not the biggest city around

it's still full of life and you can always find something to do

-

tonight was Göteborg's student kick-off

snapped these shots during Timo Räisänen's performance

good times

why I love göteborg #1

lack of library hours calls for some other Sunday night study places

and I think I've found my favorite one

the open window brings fresh air,

the sound of the occasional tram passing by and the slight smell of the

delicious thai food from the restaurant below simply just make me happy

I'm going to enjoy every bit of this loveliness while the nights are still warm
